Description:

This design/build 120,000 Sq.Ft. office build project was awarded the USGBC’s LEED GOLD certification.  The 4-story office building utilizes a low-temperature VAV distribution system.  The cooling plant consist of (2) 150-ton packaged penthouse units with integrated energy recovery and demand control ventilation.

 

Kansas State University School of Leadership Studies

Description:

The project was the first LEED certified higher education building in the State of Kansas, and winner of the DBIA’s Design/Build project of the year.  The HVAC system utilizes digital unloading scroll compressor technology for superior energy performance and a VAV air distribution system

 

Remel Cleanroom Facility Expansion

Description:

The design/build 20,000 sq.ft cleanroom expansion to biomedical production facility was designed and completed within a 6-month project schedule. The HVAC systems incorporated HEPA filtration, desicant dehumidification systems, dust collection, and room pressurization controls.

95,000 sq.ft. design/build office building for Kansas City, Kansas School districts incorporates a full commercial kitchen, 1000 sq.ft Data Center, and Maintenance Facilities.

 

Training Support Center

Fort Leonardwood, MO

Description:

A 100,000 sq.ft. building that accommodates warehouse and distribution for the Ft. Leonardwood; as well as a combination metal/wood fabrication shop, and digital training facilities.  Metro Air designed and installed the dust collection, plumbing, compressed air, industrial heating, and VAV cooling systems for the facility.

 

Building 429 Renovation

 

Ft Leavenworth, KS

Description:

Complete renovation of mechanical systems for this 80,000 sq.ft., 4-story, historical building at Ft Leavenworth.  Designed and constructed all new 200-ton chilled water plant with variable flow pumping, a new boiler plant serving both heating hot water and domestic water systems, and Variable Air Volume (VAV) air handling units.  The new systems were designed to exceed minimum energy efficiency requirements as outlined in ASHRAE 90.1-2007.
